Suzi's Baskets

A self-taught basket weaver since 1986, Suzi's journey began with a single gifted basket and a simple thought: “I can do that.” Nearly 40 years later, weaving has become both a passion and a craft passed down through generations—her great-great-grandfather was also a basket weaver. Using flat reed, hand-dyed for vibrant color and finished with rich wood-tone stains, each basket is carefully crafted with a perfectionist’s touch and a love for detail, often adorned with curls or decorative accents that give it unique character. Whether used functionally or displayed as art, her baskets reflect patience, heritage, and heart—and she hopes each piece brings as much joy to others as weaving brings to her.
